What we store

When you sign in with Google we keep your email address and name. We also keep the maps and posters you create, the prompts you write, and technical logs (generation timings, rate-limit counters). Two cookies make the site work: an anonymous browser id that ties maps to this browser, and your sign-in session. No ad or tracking cookies.

Why we need it

The email keeps your maps attached to your account and lets us write to you about major product changes. The logs help us understand how generation performs and keep free usage within sane limits.

Who else is involved

Sign-in is handled by Google — we never see your password. Map tiles and terrain data are fetched by your browser from OpenFreeMap, OpenStreetMap and Mapterhorn. We use basic, aggregate page analytics. We do not sell or share your data with anyone else.

Deleting your data

Write to support@getmaps.ai from your account email and we will delete your account and every map you created.
